As promised, TTF  have another club to briefly introduce to you. Heading further up North to….

           Marple Cricket Club, Stockport, Cheshire

  • Some form of cricket has been played in Marple for over 150 years, but the club reformed in its current condition in 1951
  • Another highly successful team, Marple plays in division one of the Cheshire County Cricket League and last season won an amazing 10 trophies!
  • The club has 5 senior teams, a veterans’ team and over ten junior teams
  • A difficult interwar period for the club having lost its ground in the war effort, the club was revived after the Second World War with an initial membership of over 150 and a brand new ground by the mid-1950s
  • The club also has a strong squash section, who share facilities at Bowden Lane
